Gemma deals with all areas of residential conveyancing, freehold and leasehold (including shared ownership, new build and transfer of part), re-mortgages, equity release and right-to-buy.
Gemma’s Story
Born in Doncaster, she moved home six times as a child because her father was in the RAF – early preparation for a career in conveyancing!
When she was 13, the family settled in Carlisle where she attended Trinity School and went on to study criminology, sociology and social anthropology at Keele University before deciding on a legal career.
She embarked on an ILEX legal executive diploma then opted to specialise in conveyancing, qualifying as licensed conveyancer in 2014 and working at a local firm for more than 20 years.
She joined Wragg Mark-Bell Solicitors in August 2024.
The best bits of the job
Gemma enjoys assisting people at what is often a crucial point in their lives, helping them secure a home where they can settle and perhaps raise a family.
She has an eye for detail and the ability to make complex matters clear and digestible. Clients often say that she puts their mind at ease
At play
During the Covid-19 lockdown, Gemma was clearing out the loft and came across her parents’ collection of vinyl records. She was hooked, began collecting and now has around 2,000 including some unique pressings.
She also has an interest in tarot and crystals and a very loveable ginger cat, Maddie, who is quite a hit on Instagram.
