Laura deals with all areas of residential conveyancing, both freehold and leasehold (including shared ownership, new build, transfer of part), re-mortgages, equity release, right-to-buy and Help-to-Buy. Laura also has experience in Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney and oversees the Probate department.
Laura’s Story
Born and raised in Scotland, Laura originally achieved an Honours degree in Marketing and Modern Languages before moving to England to study Law at Northumbria University. She later moved to Cumbria to undertake her training contract with a local firm.
Laura joined Wragg Mark-Bell Solicitors in 2014 as Head of Conveyancing and became a Director of the Firm in 2015. She is now Director and Head of Conveyancing, overseeing a busy department and supporting clients through all aspects of residential property transactions.
The best bits of the job
Laura understands that moving house can be one of life’s most stressful experiences and enjoys guiding clients through the process with a practical, supportive, and approachable manner. She also enjoys spending time supporting and training the more junior members of the department, to help each client achieve a smooth and timely completion wherever possible.
At play
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her children and relaxes by walking the family dog or reading a good book. She also keeps busy by volunteering with a local Scout group as a Cub leader.
