Accredited Police Station Representative and Trainee Solicitor
Anna is a trainee solicitor in our criminal law department where she is the first point of those enquiring about our services. She assists our clients at the police station by providing legal advice and attending interviews under caution.
She also deals with Crown Court litigation, supporting the preparation of Crown Court cases. Anna also looks after clients in criminal law matters, coordinates medical evidence and liaises with experts and the Courts.
Anna’s Story
Anna graduated from the University of Cumbria in 2023 with a degree in law, it was this that confirmed to her that she wanted to forge a career in either criminal or family law. As part of her degree, Anna spent one month on a work experience placement at Wragg Mark-Bell where she shadowed criminal solicitors at the Crown and Magistrates courts.
Anna found everyone to be friendly, and especially enjoyed meeting the office dogs. She loved the atmosphere within the office and could envision herself working at the firm, so was delighted when she was offered the position of paralegal.
The best bits of the job
Anna’s favourite parts of her job are speaking to clients and supporting them at the police station. She also enjoys seeing clients’ cases from start to finish in order to obtain a greater understanding of the process.
At play
When not at work, Anna is very active. She goes to the gym multiple times a week and enjoys walking in the Lake District with her dogs. She also loves to go out for meals with friends and family.
