Nick Kennon is a director of the firm and heads our Criminal Law department. He is also the Operations Manager with responsibilty for the management and daily operation of the firm. Nick studied law at Newcastle University and York Law School before qualifying as a solicitor in 1997. He has spent his entire working life in Carlisle, having been a pupil at Austin Friars School in the city. Before becoming a criminal law practitioner, and a fully qualified Duty Solicitor, Nick was an expert in personal injury law and was one of the youngest members ever to be accepted to the Law Society’s prestigious specialist Personal Injury Panel. Nick has further broadened his legal experience whilst dealing with matters before Education, Immigration and Employment Law Tribunals. Due to the combination of his legal management experience and his military qualifications Nick was invited to be a Member of the Chartered Management Institure in 2012.
Nick is a Major in the Army Reserves, presently serving with the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment. When time permits Nick enjoys travelling far and wide and has visited five of the world’s continents. He aims to visit the remaining two in the near future! A lifelong dog owner he is kept firmly in his place by his two dogs Fern and Benji.
